About Dennis Miller

Dennis was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and while studying Economics at university he developed a passion for the subject of wine. Before long Dennis was on his way to Germany’s famed Mosel region to pick grapes for an established wine family that could trace their roots in the Mosel region back to the thirteenth century.

Ulrich Langguth took Dennis under his wing and helped him learn the German language so he could attend the renowned “Geisenheim Wine Institute” on the Rhine river. Dennis immersed himself in his classes where he studied grape varieties, soil types, wine marketing and his favorite class of all “wine tasting.” After about nine months in Germany; Dennis had work lined up in the St. Emilion region of Bordeaux and the Cote D’Or region of Burgundy. He spent the next sixteen months working and learning these two regions and traveling to southern France, Spain, Portugal, and northern Italy when time would allow.
